It's been a while . . .

Unfortunately I have been very, very busy . . . being that the start of college was quite a chore and took quite a lot out of me. Even now I'm still attempting to catch up with all of my internet connections, as well a class work.

To spice up this post I'll provide a link to an artist whose works are very intriguing.

Mr. Lanham's works have provided me with a few brilliant desktop wallpapers that I turly love.

I hope you enjoy his artistic sense as much as I have.

Knife Enthusiast

I believe that knives are a resource any person needs. Be you a hunter, fisherman, hiker, or even a regular old Joe. Any person should be able to have, at least, the knowledge of wielding a knife. Use at breakfast lunch and dinner can never cut it (knife humor)

In practical usage it can be a very obvious tool. Be it for survival or the old gut n' skinning of a fresh fish or game animal. But knowledge of knives in close quarter combat(CQC) seems to me as just as much of a necessity, whether your on the dishing or receiving end of a blade handler, you defiantly need full knowledge for protecting oneself and those you care for.

Take a this survival scenario to heart if you will . . . you have just gotten lost in a wilderness (fill in the blanks here as you see fit), a knife grants you ability to not only cut your wood, but functions at the end of a stick as a spear for fishing/hunting, truly it is a tool of tools used since ancient times.

When it comes to CQC, the well trained can make any horrific situation survivable with any sharp implement thus why I and my father carry a basic flip knife whenever deemed necessary, the world is . . . honestly, not a friendly place.

When I say trained I mean a person knowledged in the following;
  1. Knife Safety (So your not dicing yourselves up . . .)
  2. Combat (anti-knife, and when you yourself wield the knife) Appealing to all necessary lawful situations.
  3. The Law, now when I say this I mean those who think they can go about presenting their knife to any threat that presents itself, usually always leading to a situation that can land you in court and paying some serious fines.
Some examples:
  • Telling someone you have a knife who is not provoking a serious threat against you is . . . Against the law
  • Revealing your knife to that same person is Assault
  • Attacking that person with that blade is Assault, Battery, and several other problems.
NEVER DO ANY OF THESE UNLESS YOU HAVE A CREDIBLE REASON TO ACT

On a counter-point gun carrying I cannot support, holstering a weapon of such caliber most certainly leads to bad impressions and rash decisions. Someone carrying a gun can cause a lot of damage, its a "confidence" weapon something to give off the illusion that you have a lot of power . . . but in the real world it can lead to problems no man/woman should ever ave to go through (be it an accident or not).

In summary; weapons are honestly an invention of good intentions . . . which man has made into a harbinger of death and ill directed injury. No child or untrained individual should ever be able to wield a weapon of any caliber, and this fact, although common sense is never fully followed through by the idiots of humanity. I do hope change, if it comes, will lead not to the eradication of the very tools themselves but the people who wield them. (Not physically, I must point out)

Mister Mark Jenkins

Mark Jenkins is to me a Artist to be misunderstood at times. His use of figurines Packaging tape and the elements that surround the very day certainly define him as a genius. But on the first view of his work gave shock and awe to me. He brings true life to these characters and ignites a curiosity in the tale that these characters have to tell. And it is the very curiosity of human nature that I feel Mr. Jenkins seeks to peak. To bring about a surreal loveliness in the black pit of human inequities. I continuously shall enjoy his works that he has done and I hope I have brought the fire of his artistic works to you.

The Opening of the Spectrum

Greetings, this shall be my place for communicating my experiences throughout my life. Be it a unique website I procure from an unknown source. Or a picture taken of something I find interesting. Anything that shall catch my attention. You shall see that in this blog my true identity shall never be revealed, the basic principle of many an author of literary relevance to use a pen name. The name of the blog itself is up to you to decide its meaning, perhaps even I do not know it's true meaning. I do hope that those of you to come across my blog enjoy what it will offer in the approaching months.

On a side note: The Target audience for this blog is obviously going to be a reflection of my interests in Japan, Gaming, Design, and technology. Always remember the Google search bar is never too far away.

Oh, and welcome to the Static Spectrum.
